Oiva Toikka created each Birds by Toikka glass bird in close cooperation with glassblowers, first at the Nuutajärvi glass factory and later at the Iittala glass factory.

A real bird inspires each of these birds, but they embody Toikka's inexhaustible imagination and artistic approach to glass. The bird of the year 2024, Alder Trush, has a classic bird shape with attractive brown, blue and green feather decorations.

The Bird of the Year is the perfect gift to commemorate the most important moments of the year or a unique addition to any collector's collection. Each bird is engraved with the year's mark. Available only until 2024.
