"Mandarin" Citrus Squeezer
Origin: Italy
Citrus squeezer with goblet in PMMA, orange. With this new member to add lustre to his family, Stefano Giovannoni once again proves he is a master in the finest rhetorical use of metaphor. He applies it in his playful designs with a virtuosity (and supreme skill in inventing new ways through the unresolved dilemma of Form follows function) which, in soccer-speak, might recall the famous Diego Maradona. In "Mandarin", the upturned Chinese cap reveals the functional part of the citrus-fruit squeezer and protects the container from dust when it is not in use.
Citrus-squeezer in thermoplastic resin, yellow.
